Retail property was the transaction star in the second quarter, as Blackstone Group LP purchased the 312,200-square-foot Harbison Court in Columbia from DDR Corp in June for $24.8 million ($79 psf). The quarter’s other sale was more representative of the recent period in that it was a small, single tenant deal. Cole Real Estate Investments bought a 7,463-square-foot Goodyear Auto Service Center in May for $2.66 million ($356 psf). GDY Investments LLC was the seller. The rolling 12 month cap rate for second quarter was 5.9%, consistent with recent readings.
