It is odd that New Haven has the second worst loss in apartment rent, but the lowest apartment vacancy rate.

    • http://reisreports.com justinp

The data represents quarterly conditions. While Q4 asking rent was down 0.4% in Q4 2011 from Q3 2011, asking rent increased 1.5% from Q4 2010 to Q4 2011. In fact, this was the first quarter that rent decreased in New Haven since Q2 2009. Reis predicts asking rent to continue to rise in the apartment sector in the coming years.
